“I Love You Too Johnny Cakes”
I am officially fed up with this season of The Sopranos.After almost two years since the last season, this season was highly anticipated for many of us Sopranos fans. Needless to say this season has been a great disappointment.
It was hyped up as the greatest season yet. A season that would be filled with surprises and suspense. A season that could possible end with the death of Tony Soprano.
With only two episodes left I doubt that this season can reprive itself.
Two episodes left and nothing has happened. I feel like I have been at the arcade all day playing Skee Ball and all I got for my 1300 tickets was a lousy high bouncy ball. Utter disappointment.
The only real surprise so far this season is how gay the show has become. I guess since Will and Grace is going off the air that David Chase and company figured that they can take over where they left off. Or maybe HBO did some restructuring this year and The Sopranos is really being written this year by the writer of Six Feet Under.
The show has gone from an action/drama to a chic flick. I don’t know if the writers of the show are aware of their demographic or not…but something tells me that the majority of the viewers that are tuning in week after week for year after year aren’t watching becuase of the man on man loving going on.
The majority of the viewers tune in to see people get shot in the head. Not shots of Vito and Johnny Cakes climbing into bed.
We tune in to see drama unfold filled with violence and drugs. Instead all we see now is man on man hugs.
From Meadow doing stripteases to shots at The Bing, the nudity they are showing now…just isn’t my thing.
“I love you Vincent.” “I love you too Johnny Cakes.” Let’s hope the season ends with both of their wakes.
The show has got two more episodes to live up to the hype. If not let’s hope next year they make Meadow a dyke.
Atleast that will be some gaiety we all can enjoy.
